At our campaign kickoff on Sunday, June 2, at Bold Rock Cidery in Mills River, we had such a great turnout that we had to be moved to a larger space and even then, it was standing room only. People from Buncombe, Transylvania, and Henderson Counties were very excited to hear dynamic speakers such as Rep. John Ager (House District 115), Rod Whiteside (Mayor, Town of Fletcher), Richmond Meadows (Councilman, Town of Mills River), Steve Woodsmall (Candidate, US House D-11), and John Haynes (Teen Dems of Henderson County).
We talked about all of the positive changes that have taken place in Mills River since my election, the need for representation by people who are concerned about the people of this district rather than the party puppet that we have now, and we also discussed all of the ways in which we can utilize education, protections for the environment, and healthcare options to make life better for many thousands of people in this district.
Our next event will be a fundraiser at High Vista Country Club on June 22, 2019 from 6-8 PM. Snacks and beverages will be served, and there will be a cash bar. Please come out and join us!
